Description of the Work
Fine porcelain plate featuring the typical “Imari” decoration.
The brim is richly ornamented with alternating reserves enclosing floral (peonies and chrysanthemums) and geometric motifs in cobalt blue, iron red, and gold.
The center presents a more airy composition, balancing the horror vacui of the borders with a compositional elegance typical of exports for the European market.
