Description of the Work

Constantin Blendea’s work is presented as an abstract composition in which form and color dialogue through a geometric and gestural language. The surface is characterized by a dense, almost grainy texture dominated by a palette of cerulean grays and earthy browns that provide a backdrop for warm bursts of ochre, orange, and touches of bright red.

In the center of the painting, a series of thin white lines and geometric shapes (semicircles and rectangles) overlap dynamically, creating a structure that seems to float in pictorial space. Despite the apparent abstraction, the interplay of balance between straight lines and curves suggests a search for harmonic order within chromatic chaos, typical of the Romanian artist’s mature phase. It is a painting of meditation, where the artistic gesture becomes an architectural sign.
